If we own the story then we can write the ending.
Brené Brown, Social Worker & Researcher
Hi there!
And welcome to my site. My name is Lauren and I am a registered social worker (MSW) working as a psychotherapist who is committed to creating safe spaces for clients where they can gain self-awareness, confidence, and compassion for themselves. Walking into a session with me you can expect a judgement-free zone where there are no wrong questions, reactions, or emotions. My passion lies in walking alongside others as they share their stories, gain perspective, and reclaim parts of their narrative that no longer serve them.

All sessions are 50 minutes, with an option of virtual, teletherapy, or in-person.

I use an integrative approach as I like to draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches; this allows me to tailor to the needs of each individual.
The modalities that I most-often work with include, but are not limited to:
Narrative Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Emotion Focused Mindfulness Therapy (EFMT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) (skills portion)
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
All approaches are trauma, attachment, and polyvagal informed.
I operate from a feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-colonial lens recognizing that each person’s experience is shaped not only by their personal environment and heritage, but by society and the systems that we all live within, and which affect each of us for better or worse. It is impossible to untangle the impacts of these factors on our well-being, which makes acknowledging their influence essential for healing.

I am a registered social worker (MSW) working as a psychotherapist who has experience in providing counselling to individuals 10+ and families in private practice, youth in rehabilitation settings, as well as vulnerable populations in the community (e.g. individuals facing food scarcity, homelessness, addiction, and domestic violence). I also have more than sixteen years of experience working in social service settings, primarily within non-profit and charitable organizations that support children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, along with their families.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, our dogs, family, and friends. Or having a quiet moment to myself where I can focus on a creative outlet (I love art and music!) or researching my latest interest.

I am a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman (i.e. I am autistic and have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I am extremely passionate about neurodiversity and supporting others who found out or began suspecting late in life that they are neurodivergent. As someone who has been through the complex process of late-diagnosis, I am able to offer a unique therapeutic experience to those on similar journeys. To learn more about my experience, click here.
